What counts as a tunnel?
One tunnel = one persistent connection between your local port and the relay. You can have as many share links as you want per tunnel.
What happens when my connector disconnects?
All share links for that tunnel are automatically paused. Visitors see a "Preview paused" or offline page and can notify the owner. When you reconnect, you can reactivate links with one click or one MCP tool call.
Does my computer need to stay online?
Yes. Sharnix streams the preview live from your machine, so your computer, your app, and your internet connection all need to stay up while people are viewing. If your connection drops, links pause automatically and visitors see a "Preview paused" page — they can notify you, and one click brings it back. Preview speed also depends on your connection, since responses travel from your machine through the relay, so for heavier apps a production build previews faster than a dev server. Need a link to survive you going offline? Preview Hold (beta) keeps a snapshot live for a limited time.
Which platforms are ready today?
The foreground CLI is ready on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Windows service/background mode is beta. macOS and Linux background services are not fully shipped yet.
Is Sharnix open source?
Sharnix is a managed service at launch. We may open-source components in the future based on what users need most. The connector is available via npm (@sharnix/agent); relay infrastructure is operated by us.
When do paid plans start — and what happens to my usage?
Every plan is free for all users until July 1, 2026 — no card required, every feature included. After that, the prices shown here apply: the Free plan stays free, and you only move to a paid plan if you choose one for its extra features. Prices may be adjusted before paid plans begin.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not yet, but it's on the roadmap. Email sales@sharnix.com and we can work something out.
What payment methods do you accept?
Once paid plans begin (after the free period), credit and debit cards via Stripe. We do not store card details. Nothing is charged during the free beta.
